PASTOR JOHNNY A. MOORE was born on June 24, 1978, to the parents of Johnnie & Patsy Moore. He was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, and received his education in the Kansas City, Missouri, public schools graduating from East High school in May of 1997. He attended Metropolitan Community Colleges, where he earned an Associate in Arts Degree in May 2019 and graduated from the Calvary University of Kansas City, MO with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, and Bible in June 2020.
Pastor Moore was brought up in a Godly home and is a fourth-generation pastor of the Church of God in Christ. He was saved in January of 1995 at age 16 and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:4 shortly after his 17th Birthday. From that time, Pastor Moore was very active in his church and became rooted and grounded in the faith of Jesus Christ.
The Lord called Pastor Moore into his preaching ministry in 1998 at age 19. While serving in several capacities in the local church under the leadership of Superintendent Michael C. Warren then, the Lord began to elevate him. He was appointed and served as the local Youth President in 1998.
While serving faithfully and successfully, District Superintendent Dennis Lenley appointed Pastor Moore as District Youth President of the Jehovah Jireh District. In 2002 the late Bishop W. B. Henderson, Prelate of Missouri Western Second Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ, approved the appointment to serve as Vice President of the Jurisdictional Youth Department. In March of 2003, Pastor Moore was ordained by Bishop Henderson as an Elder of the Church of God in Christ. Pastor Moore served as an Associate Elder at St. Luke Memorial Worship & Deliverance Outreach Center, President of Evangelism, and Executive Assistant to Superintendent Warren. In August of 2010, the honorable Bishop John M. Johnson, Bishop Henderson's predecessor, appointed Pastor Moore as Interim Jurisdictional Youth President. In January 2011, Pastor Moore was installed as Youth President and served faithfully in that capacity.
After much prayer and seeking the Lord, Pastor Moore was impressed to launch his Pastoral ministry. On January 5, 2014, in the dead of winter, he stepped out on faith, having his first worship service. The Lord visited him in a dream and gave him the name of the church, and Providence House of Worship became birthed! During that first service, 23 souls joined the church, and since that time, the church has taken in over 165 members.
The Lord continued to elevate Pastor Moore. He also served as the Vice President of the Jurisdictional AIM Department. On January 12, 2019, he was appointed to Interim District Superintendent and installed March 17, 2019, of the newly established Headquarters District. Pastor Moore received an appointment on March 8, 2019, to serve as the Missouri Western Second Jurisdictional Coordinator of the Kansas City Area.
Pastor Moore has been employed by the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority since 2001 and is a District Road Supervisor.
